Event Description

The AFDSNY introduces a new direction with the
2017 Leadership Summit & Vendor Expo
A new format designed to promote a healthy working relationship with all involved in running your District.  Commissioner, Secretaries, Treasurers, Chiefs, and Budget Officers, will all leave the conference with a renewed sense of direction and energy.
Important Changes to Note for 2017
Saratoga Hilton Hotel
  • 3 Night Minimum Required - NO Exceptions - The Association of Fire Districts of the State of New York is committed to making our events more inclusive, affordable, educational and enjoyable for ALL our Members and Attendees.  In consideration of the feedback from our members, AFDSNY had intended to abolish the 3 night minimum stay at the Saratoga Hilton Hotel this year in October.  However, the association is obligated under a multi year contract to continue the 3 night minimum for ONE more year.
  • BREAKFAST - is included in Saratoga Hilton room reservation.
  • LUNCHES - are included in the Leadership Summit Registration Fee
  • NO Rooming list - The Association will NO LONGER be using a hotel rooming list. Attendees are required to book their hotel rooms on their own.  AFDSNY has contracted with the following hotels:
    • Saratoga Hilton Hotel - see instructions below.

  • Booking Reservations at Saratoga Hilton Hotel - All attendees are REQUIRED to register for the 2017 Leadership Summit BEFORE booking a room at the Saratoga Hilton Hotel.  Attendees will receive a Reservation Link for the Saratoga Hilton Hotel in the 2017 Leadership Summit confirmation email.  NO reservation for the Saratoga Hilton Hotel will be accepted by phone.
Guests (Wives) Program
After serious consideration and deliberation by the Conference Committee and the Board of Directors, the Association has decided to eliminate the "Guests Program" (formally known as the Ladies Program). Instead we will be utilizing the services of the Saratoga Convention & Tourism Bureau, who will be on site to assist our guests and attendees discover and enjoy all the attractions and events in beautiful downtown Saratoga Springs.
